My desired job is to become a neurologist. Neurology is the branch of medicine that studies disorders relating to the nervous system. The nervous system includes the brain, nerves, blood vessels, muscles, and the spinal cord. Neurologists treat conditions such as Alzheimer's, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), sleep disorders, movement disorders, headaches, brain cancer, tumors, and stroke. However, neurologists can not perform surgery.

To become a neurologist, I would need to spend a lot of time studying  in college then transfer  to a university and medical school. The requirements to achieve this career start with obtaining a bachelor's degree. The next step will be taking the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). The following step is to get a medical degree,  take the United States Medical Examination, complete a one-year internship, and complete a residency program. There are multiple reasons why it is in my interest to become a doctor. I grew up watching my dad perform surgeries on people who could not afford them. I also volunteered to help my dad in public hospitals. Like my dad, I grew up with the passion and desire to help others in any way possible. Apart from helping others, this career calls me because I find every piece of the brain fascinating.
